Good News

This week has been superb! I am so excited for the growth that this zone has made. There were definitely some ups and downs. So Jose texted us this week and told us he didnt want to meet anymore because there was too much stuff going on in his life right now. We went to go see him to talk about it some more, and his family is struggling a lot right now. He is living with his brother and his family and his brother is going to jail and his family is moving back to mexico. So it felt like the world just came crashing down on him all in one week. It is hard to relate to that because I have never experienced that but we just testified to him of the comfort and peace that our savior brings to our lives as we live his gospel. We know he will be baptized someday. He is such a great guy and has such a strong faith in Christ. 

The good news for the week was that Elder Lusk and I found 7 new people to teach. It was such a blessing. Everyone seemed to be interested in talking to us this week. The Lord really blessed us with a lot. We are excited to be working with these new individuals. There are two families that we are now teaching. We love working with families because the gospel is all about bringing families together and uniting them for eternity. God has a great plan for us. 

Sorry for such a short email. There was a lot that happened. But it would take forever to write it all out. Luckily I write in down in my journal so eventually you will all hear the stories. I love you all!

Elder Hallmark

 

 

So this week we went to the temple with our recent converts Anna, and Daria. It was such a blessing. The spirit was so strong there. 

Then today we went to this place called apple hill. There are a ton of apple orchards there with lots of apple baked goods and fresh produce. It is so beautiful, it is overlooking the sierra mountains. there was also a pumpkin patch there.
