Questions of the Soul

Another week down! So much has happened. So on Wednesday we had Zone conference. It was a great experience. This was President Hymas' first Zone Conference and it was amazing. His teaching style is very different from President Jardine's but I like it a little better actually. President Jardine was very formal and did most of his training from the pulpit, whereas President Hymas comes down and speaks to us at the floor level and he is a little more laid back about the way he does things. It feels a little more personal that way, and I enjoy it. We learned so much. A big focus was on the Book of Mormon and how it answers peoples questions of the soul. It was amazing because as Elder Henderson and I put it to the test we found it answers literally almost any question that people are searching for in life. It was so powerful as we would ask people what the are looking for in life and then share a scripture to go along with it. It strengthened our testimony of the power and the divinity of the Book of Mormon. It really is another testament of Jesus Christ and it really did come from God. One of my favorite scriptures that we have used this week was in Jacob 2:8
"And it supposeth me that they have come up hither to hear the pleasing word of God, yea, the word which healeth the wounded soul."

So as a District Leader you go on exchanges with all the elders in your district, and as Zone Leader you go on exchanges with all the District leaders in your zone and then the Assistants to the President go on exchanges with all of the Zone leaders in the mission. So on friday we got to go on exchanges with the Assistants and I got to go with Elder Pennington again. I served around him for over 1/3 of my mission and we have gone on so many exchanges before so it was just like old times to be with him again. He is probably my favorite missionary and what makes it better is that he lives in Aubrey so we will be able to hang out when we both get home from our missions. It was a powerful exchanges and I was able to learn a lot from him. We were able to teach someone in his area and invite them to be baptized on August 26th. It was a super spiritual lesson!

Today we spent the day as a zone at President Bitnoff's house from the mission presidency. It was so much fun. President and Sister Hymas both came and they are sooo funny. It was so awesome to be able to spend time with everyone and get to know everyone a little better.

Well thats pretty much it for this week. A lot of our investigators that we have been working with have kinda fallen off this week. So we are back in finding mode. It is so great to be out here. Nothing better.

Love,
