We
also had the privilege of going over to the Zielinksi family for
fathers day. They are the Jewish family that I wrote about a week or two
ago. Where we celebrated their sabbath with them. They are seriously
the nicest family I have ever met. They are just such amazing people.
After dinner we were able teach them about the Book of Mormon. They have
been taught by missionaries in the past about the restoration through
Joseph Smith and the plan of salvation and things like that but no one
really explained what the Book of Mormon is or where it came from. As we
explained to him that it was the records of a remnant of the house of
Israel that came from Jerusalem to the Americas in about 600 BC and as
we showed him Ezekiel 37:16-19
He
really began to understand and be more open to the Book of Mormon.
Jerry knows so much about Jewish history and the old testament. He
studies every chance he gets. So I know that as he studies the Book of
Mormon and sees all of the references to the house of Israel and the
history about them he will really enjoy it and he will come to know its
true as he prays and asks God. I am so grateful for the Book of Mormon
which helps us learn more about and draw nearer to our Savior Jesus
Christ. It is so amazing how it can be studied so simply and yet it can
be so profound and you can go into so much depth. I know that it is
truly God's word.
