So
I am back with Elder Toki, my trainer! It has literally been a year
since we were first together. I will hit my year mark on March 23rd. He
was one of my favorite companions and it feels just like old times being
with him again. Also in my district is Elder Carper, we were companions
before I was with Elder Dougherty, so it feels like a big reunion every
time I see them again. I am serving around such amazing missionaries,
and I am serving in the most beautiful place in this mission. This week
we went up to a little tiny town called Volcanoville to teach someone.
It is literally in the middle of nowhere at the top of the mountains and we drove for an hour to get there. We spend so much time in the car
since there is so much travel time. It is nice to see all the beauty of
the earth but sometimes it gets tiring because I just want to talk to
some people and teach them and we don't get to see that many people each
day. But I do love it here.
So
the blessing of this week was being able to see Paul Goss get baptized.
I didn't know him very well because I have only been here for a week
but he has such a strong testimony and every time I am around him I can
feel his spirit. He is such an amazing example to everyone. He spent
most of his life in prison and he has been able to turn it all around.
It strengthened my testimony and understanding of the power of the
atonement of Jesus Christ. No matter what mistakes we have made in this
life or how far we think we have gone, through Jesus Christ we can all be
forgiven and we can all be changed. I am so grateful for this. What a
blessing. I love my Savior Jesus Christ.
Love,
