Man this week has been amazing! I feel like I am finally starting to get
used to this area and what is going on around here. I love it so much.
So this week we had a lesson with our investigator Jason. His family are all members and he goes to church with them every Sunday. He has been
taught by missionaries forever. He believes everything but for some
reason he has just never been baptized. He always says no when the
missionaries in the past have invited him. Well this lesson Elder
Anderson and I felt prompted to invite him to be baptized. We taught him
and his family the plan of salvation and how they can live together as a
family forever if they live the gospel of Jesus Christ which is Faith,
Repentance, Baptism, Receiving the Gift of the Holy Ghost and Enduring
to the end. And then eventually are sealed in the temple. As we taught
them that we invited Jason to be further live the gospel of Jesus Christ
in his life by being baptized so he could eventually life with his
family forever. He accepted without hesitation. It was such an amazing
experience. I am so excited for him and his family. I know this gospel
blesses families so much as they live it together. I am so grateful for
the opportunity I have to live with my family forever, and I am grateful
I get to be out here on a mission sharing this gospel with others so
they can have the opportunity to live with their families forever as
well.
This
week has been filled with many other great experiences as well but this
is the one that stuck out the most to me. I always forget so much of
what happened because there are so many things going on. I look forward
to the coming weeks I have to serve in this area.
Also
as a side note, I hit my year mark last week. So I have now been on my
mission for over a year. Only one year left to go. What a blessing. And
on facebook we have now had to take the title of Elder off because there
have been people who are constantly harassing missionaries online. It is
easy to find us because all you have to do is type in "Elder" or
"Sister" on facebook and missionaries pop up.
Love,
Elder Hallmark
