This week was exciting! We were able to spend a lot of time looking for new people to teach. Recently we have been so busy with so many lessons and that we don't get to go out and walk around and talk to a lot of people we just do it on the way to events. But this week we were able to spend some good time walking around the neighborhoods in our ward and talking to everyone we see.
Nothing too exciting happened with any of our investigators. Deborah still working strong to baptism. Still funny as ever. Thanksgiving was super fun. We were able to go over to 2 different families homes for thanksgiving. The Walqhuists and the Andersons. Sooooo much good food, and we got sooooo many left overs. It is such a blessing to be serving around such amazing members that do so much for us. I have often pondered, what other organization in the world do you know of that has random people that you have never met invite you over to their homes and feed you dinner every night, and automatically love you and support you? It doesn't happen anywhere else. This church is so amazing and the members of this church are what make it so amazing.
So as I was studying the Book of Mormon this week there was a certain scripture that stuck out to me in 3 Nephi 9:13 This is Christ speaking to the nephites in the ancient Americas and he says "...Will ye not now return unto me, and repent of your sins, and be converted, that may heal you?"
That is all Christ wants to do for us. He wants to heal us and help us become better. That is the essence of his gospel. It is a beautiful thing! Love you all and hope you had a great week and a great thanksgiving.
Love,
Elder Hallmark
