Weak Without God

Well this week was so amazing. So on Tuesday we met Trevor. He is one of our new investigators. He is so awesome and when we first met him he had already read over half of the Book of Mormon. He was so prepared to hear the gospel. He already knew it was true before we even started teaching him. Heavenly Father truly blessed us with a miracle. We have been teaching him all this week and he is scheduled for baptism on March 25th! We are so excited for him. He understands the gospel very well but he doesn't have that strong of a personal relationship with heavenly father yet. We are going to focus on trying to help him build his faith and really come to know his heavenly father better this week. I am looking forward to seeing the growth that happens this week. He is so awesome.

So this week I found one of my new favorite talks. It is called "I stand all amazed" by Curtis Jacobs. It just goes over why we each need a savior in our lives and why the atonement of Jesus Christ was so important. One of my favorite quotes from his talk is "When men choose Christ, they choose to be changed." It is so true. Those who haven't changed, haven't really chosen Christ. Christ wants us to continually improve and progress. I am so grateful for the atonement of Jesus Christ and all that he did for me. I truly need a savior. Without him I am so weak. As I was listening to this talk a scripture came to mind in Alma 26:12

"Yea, I know that I am nothing; as to my strength I am weak; therefore I will not boast of myself, but I will boast of my God, for in his strength I can do all things; yea, behold, many mighty miracles we have wrought in this land, for which we will praise his name forever."

Love,
