Little Miracles

I loved this week! So this week I got to go on exchanges with all of the missionaries in my district. It was such a privilege. The missionaries in my district will all be my lifelong friends. I am so grateful to be serving around them. First, I went with Elder Young Yen. He was my companion in the MTC. We had such much fun when we were at the MTC and it is so awesome to be back with him. I hope one day I get to be companions with him again. We saw so many miracles in the Laguna Creek 1st ward. As we pulled up to the house of a less active who had never answered to door before she just happened to be outside in her garage and we talked for a little and she explained how she missed church and wanted to start coming back. We have an appointment with her tonight. I am looking forward to it. Then after we got done talking to her, we looked across the street and saw Pete who was standing in front of his garage as well and he waved to us. Pete is the husband of a member and we have been working with both of them for a few weeks but have not been able to get ahold of them recently. So we were able to go over there and talk with him for a while and then set an appointment for tomorrow night. These may have seemed small but they were miracles to us. I am so grateful for Heavenly Father putting us in the right place at the right time to meet both of those families.

So the next day I went on exchanges with Elder Pennington. He is the one from Aubrey Texas and he is my favorite missionary by far. It just seems as if we have everything in common. I would trust him with anything. I look forward to the day when we will be able to hang out when we both get home. He is one of my closest friends. While we were together we worked in his area. He covers a Fijian congregation so we visited a ton of Fijians. They are super cool people and are all super humble and have strong testimonies.

Something that came to my mind this week was how thankful I am for church. It is so nice to be able to go every Sunday. To clear your mind and not have to worry about anything else in the world. It is just a time to reflect back on the week to draw nearer to our Heavenly Father and to learn of him and his amazing gospel. It is truly a refreshing time. I am grateful that the Lord has given us the Sabbath day to worship him and to put aside the cares of the world. It definitely makes a difference in my week. It just sets the tone for how the rest of this week will go.

Love,

Elder Hallmark
