The House of the Lord

Man this week had too many miracles to count. I don't even know where to begin. So this week has been the busiest and fastest week of my mission. Literally so much stuff happened. So we have been teaching Hannah our investigator all week almost every single day. She is in the YSA Ward. At the beginning of the week she was super hesitant and said she wasn't sure if she was ready to get baptized or not. She was having lots of doubt. So we decided to take her on a temple tour. We walked around the temple and explained what goes on here and then we went inside the waiting room and invited her to pray about her baptism. It was so nice to be able to just sit in the temple and feel the strong spirit there. After she got done praying we asked her how she felt and she said she felt so amazing. She talked about how much peace she felt while being there and she said I am getting baptized on Sunday and I have no more doubt. It was such a miracle to see how the spirit felt at the temple can change us. It is truly God's house.

Later on that week we had a lesson with one of our other investigators Gail. She is in the green valley ward. So Gail is Hannah's best friend's Mom. So they know each other super well. The reason we started teaching Gail is because her daughter Ashley (which is Hannah's best friend) was baptized about a month ago. So we had a super powerful lesson with her in our stake president's home. She told us how she knows it's all true and wants to be apart of this church as well. So we put her on date for baptism on August 12th. Well, a couple of days later, she told us the same thing that Hannah told us earlier in the week. She said that she was really unsure about her baptism and didn't know if this is really the right decision for her and she was just really nervous. So we took her on a temple tour with Hannah. It was so awesome. She had the same experience Hannah did. We took her inside the waiting room and invited her to pray about it, and she felt so amazing afterwards, and said she would do whatever it takes to be baptized. These were two huge miracles that came from being at the temple. There is not a better place to feel the spirit than at the temple. I am so grateful that we have one so close to us.

But wait..... there's more. The miracles don't stop there. So at Hannah's baptism yesterday, she invited her boyfriend. She told us before hand that he was not interested in church and that he would probably never be baptized. We promised her though that if he came to the baptism he would most likely follow her. We felt confident about that. So after her baptism she texted us and was so excited and told us that he really felt good at her baptism and he knew that the decision she made was good because he saw how happy she was and he said that he was thinking about it. We know that he felt he spirit so strong at her baptism. We are going to start teaching him this week. We have definitely seen some miracles this week and I am so grateful. The Lord has blessed us so much.

It has been so fun working with Elder Henderson. We get along so well and are so similar in so many ways, everything just goes so smooth. I am grateful to be serving with him. It has been great being a zone leader, it gives us a chance to get to work with all the missionaries in the zone and really learn from them. There are so many amazing missionaries here.

Love,

Elder Hallmark

Here is a pic from Hannah's baptism

Here is a pic with our investigator Gail. She took us out to dinner on Saturday!

Here is a funny pic I took with one of those face cutouts. One of our investigators Natalie, works at as a raft guide on the rivers here. and when we went to visit her at her job we saw this sign and had to get a pic with our faces in it. I am top right.
