Who is Jesus Christ to You?

Well happy late Easter to everyone! What an amazing week this has been. I barely remember what all happened in it because it went by so fast. So on Thursday we had Zone Conference. It was the best one I have ever been to. President Jardine gave a powerful training on the Savior Jesus Christ. He asked the question "Who is Jesus Christ to you?". That question hit me. I know who he is and what he did but reflecting on that question gave me time to really answer "who is he to me? and what has he really done for me?" It is amazing to reflect on those questions and find those personal answers. I would invite everyone to do the same. Jesus Christ has a different meaning to each individual person because his atonement is so individual and personal. He suffered for everyone and he is the only one in this world who knows us perfectly. I am so grateful for that. I am also grateful for the opportunity we had to celebrate his resurrection yesterday on Easter. I know he lives! That is the greatest news in the world. Because of him life doesn't end when we die. Because of him we will all be resurrected and have the opportunity to live with our loved ones forever.

We were also able to go on exchanges this week with the Zone Leaders, and with the Elders in Diamond Springs. I went with Elder Scott this time, then with Elder Pearson. It was an amazing exchange and I feel like I was able to get to know both of them so much better. I am truly serving around some of the best people in the world. I am beginning to notice that more and more as I spend time with each missionary in my district. I am so grateful for them and for all their testimonies. They are all always so cheerful and positive and it had such an impact on me. They inspire me to become better and I love serving around them.

This week we have been starting to increase our teaching pool. Something I have noticed about being out here in the mountains and hills is that a lot of people don't want to talk to you. There is a reason why they live in the hills and that is because they want their privacy haha. It not like the rest of the mission where you can go and talk to 50 people walking around the neighborhood. So we are having to find new ways to find people to teach. It is starting to work and it is exciting to see it grow. I am looking forward to seeing the success that will come here.

Love,
Elder Hallmark

Sister Jones in our ward invited us over for Easter Dinner and she bought us both Easter baskets!
She is the best!

One of the members in our ward found this huge gold nugget in a river here. It may not look like it but it was heavy! He was telling us because it is in nugget form and because of the density of it when he took it to get a price value on it he said it was worth $17,000!!

We had to cross this super sketchy old wooden bridge this week to get to someones house!
