Grateful

This week has been a special week of gratitude. As we celebrated Thanksgiving this year we were able to once again remember all that our father in heaven has done for us. There are too many things to write. Literally all we have is from him. I am especially grateful for his loving correction. For his hand in my life leading me to exactly where I needed to be so I could grow into the person he wants me to be. I am eternally grateful for that, and for his son's sacrifice. There is no way to describe how thankful I am for the atonement of our Savior Jesus Christ. It has made all the difference. It is the reason I am out on a mission right now. There is nothing that brings more joy in this life.

So something special that happened this week was the Baptism of The Townsend family kids. Jasmine, Isabel, Aubrey, and Joshua. It was so amazing to witness their excitement and willingness to follow the example of Jesus Christ. Even at aubrey's young age of 9 she still knew that she wanted to be like Jesus Christ and be baptized. She knew how important this was, and she knew that it would help her draw nearer to her Father in Heaven. I have never met smarter kids before in my life. They all learned so quickly and remembered way more stuff than I ever did at their age. I am so grateful for this experience and the opportunity I had to be apart of their lives.

This week Elder Carper and I have had the chance to teach many new people this week. One of them actually happened to live in Little Elm, Texas for a bit. Her aunt lives their now, and is a member of the Oak Point ward. I was so surprised when I heard that!! Because no one is from Little Elm. That is just a speck on the map. It was so cool to talk to her about that. She met with missionaries when she was younger but doesn't remember too much. She stopped us as we were walking on the street one day because she wants to learn more. She said she feels now that she is older she will be able to understand more. We are excited to start teaching her more about the wonderful gospel of Jesus Christ. Well those are the highlights of my week. I love you all.

Love,

Elder Hallmark
