WOW. This week has been so amazing!! So to start off on Easter Sunday we got to hear from Elder M. Russell Ballard! It was so amazing, and we got there first so our district was literally in the first row sitting only feet away from an apostle of the Lord!! He bore the most powerful testimony of the savior I have ever heard, and he shared with us the story of when his grandfather Melvin J. Ballard saw the savior in a vision. It was such a spiritual experience. I was completely overcome with emotion. As me and over 1,000 other missionaries here at the MTC sang the closing hymn "He is risen" I could feel the spirit so strongly and the words choked in my mouth and tears filled my eyes. We also had to privilege to sing in the choir this week for Elder Vinson of the seventy who spoke to us on Tuesday. We got to sing "Praise to the Man". That is my favorite hymn and always will be. I love the prophet Joseph Smith. We seriously have the best choir director, Brother Eggett. He is like a general authority teaching choir! It sounds weird but as we sing, he takes breaks and gives us lessons, it is so amazing. I feel like he knows everything about church history. I know this is the place the Lord wants me to be. The MTC is truly a special place. I love everything about it. I am so blessed to have such a great companion Elder Young Yen. He is so spiritual and strengthens me in places where I need help. His parents have sent us some New Zealand Chocolate and it is so amazing!! I love my district, we have the best one here. We also have the best teachers. I love my teacher Brother Kezele so much! He is so powerful, he's like a young Elder Holland. I forgot to get a picture with him this week but I will get one next week to send in my email. The church is true. This is Christ's church. Joseph Smith was a true.prophet of God. I know of a perfect surety that these things are true.
Love, Elder Hallmark
